Engineering Technician

Colorado Time Systems, the leader and innovator in the aquatic timing and scoring industry, is looking for an engineer with diversified skill sets. The Engineering Technician is responsible for creating, documenting, developing, and implementing procedures used to assemble, process, test and/or manufacture of Colorado Time Systems' products.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Development and implementation of manufacturing guidelines to improve efficiency, manufacturability and overall product quality
  • Adherence to and the advancement of current quality standards
  • Confer with Quality Control, Material, Manufacturing, and other department personnel to provide technical support
  • Root cause analysis of production level failures
  • 2nd level support and root cause analysis of returned and/or warranty items
  • Design, build, and implement test fixtures and production procedures
  • Assembly and testing of prototype PCBs
  • Assembly, documentation, and testing of final product assemblies
  • PCB Design and Layout

    Electrical Engineering Intern

    Colorado Time Systems, the leader and innovator in the aquatic timing and scoring industry, is looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern for part- or full-time work this summer.

    The position will offer suport to our RoHS compliance team and be working directly with our design engineers. Applicants must be highly motivated, independent and enjoy the fast pace of working in a small engineering group. Experience in aquatic sports or an interest in a sports field is a plus. Minimum GPA requirement: 3.0

    Flexible hours, M-F, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM. 20-40 hours/week @ $12.00/hour.

    Electronic Quality Control Technician

    Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Inspect and audit manufactured parts, incoming material and work-in-progress; interpret and apply Engineering Specifications as appropriate

  • Manage non-conforming materials via appropriate reports and corrective action reports
  • Process repairs using Authorized Repair Procedures and Engineering Specifications
  • Troubleshoot, test, and repair electro-mechanical equipment
  • Verify compliance with ISO, RoHS, UL, CE and FCC regulations
  • Interface effectively with Engineering, Production, Operations, and other departments


  • Requirements:
  • 2-year Electronics Degree and 2+ years Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Working familiarity with RoHS, UL, FCC, CE or ISO requlations
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents; including: Engineering drawings, blueprints, purchase requisitions, material tolerances, and finish specifications
  • Recent database experience
  • Experience using a wide variety of hand-tools including: gauges and measuring/testing equipment and fixtures
  • Well-organized with good written and verbal skills
  • Work effectively with others
  • Follow established safety procedures


  • Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Must be able to distinguish color-coded wiring and interpret materials drawings unassisted
  • A pre-placement physical and drug screen are required



  • Field Service Technician/Installer

    Colorado Time Systems, the leader and innovator in the aquatic timing and scoring industry, is looking for traveling installation technician to join the technical support team.

    The service tech’s main responsibilities include performing onsite repairs, service and installation, as well as visiting the customer sites prior to construction to assess the location’s needs. The amount of travel for the position may be as high as 75% during peak periods. When not on the road, the technician will be assisting customers via phone at our office in Loveland, Colorado.

    Minimum requirements for the position include: a 2-year electronic technician degree; 2+ years of electronics repair/installation experience; ability to lift 75 lbs overhead, stand on scaffolding or tall ladders, bend, twist and work in small spaces; a valid driver’s license and the ability to rent a car.

    Knowledge of swimming and bilingual skills are a plus. In order to be considered for the position, you must pass an electronics test and have a clean motor vehicle report.     Sales Representative - Domestic Market

    Swim Industry Sales
    MUST HAVE A TECHNICAL SALES BACKGROUND, in addition to outstanding face-to-face presentation and telephone skills. Polished, motivated individuals only need apply. This position requires frequent travel and contact with Coaches, Athletic Directors, Architects, and Developers. This is a base plus commission position.


    Responsibilities:
  • Develop and successfully execute a plan for selling profitable projects; contact customers through personal visits, phone and email.
  • Plan and complete weekly report of weekly activity to Management
  • Actively promote Colorado Time Systems' name and product to end-users
  • Develop ongoing and sustainable relationships with Swim Coaches, Athletic Directors, Project Developers, Subcontractors, and Architects
  • Sell additional products/services and inquire about new leads, opportunities, or referrals
  • Develop and deliver winning proposals/sales propositions of major accounts
  • Proactively follow up on leads, maintaining updated database
  • Understand the capabilities and operation of complete product line


  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with industry knowledge and sales experience weighed heavily
  • Three + years direct sales experience
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to develop and present winning sales presentations and negotiate favorable contracts
  • Assertive, goal-oriented with proven track record
  • Computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office
